At a worldwide scale, people will simply not go far enough with conservation to meaningfully slow down or stop climate change. We should instead focus on technologies to try to clean up or otherwise mitigate the effects.

  • Previous attempts at this kind of international collaboration don’t suggest we are willing and able to achieve anything meaningful. For example, the Paris Agreement is criticized for being both not strong enough in its requirements and also having no effective enforcement methods.
